OSHA 30-Hour DOB REQUIRED Construction SIGN
A "OSHA 30-Hour DOB REQUIRED Construction SIGN" refers to a sign typically displayed on construction sites to indicate that workers on the site are required to have completed the OSHA 30-Hour training course as mandated by the Department of Buildings (DOB) or a similar regulatory authority.
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 30-Hour training course is an extensive safety program designed to educate construction workers about potential hazards, safety protocols, and best practices in the construction industry. It covers a wide range of topics such as fall protection, electrical safety, hazard communication, and more.
The DOB, or a similar regulatory authority in a particular region, may require workers on construction sites to have completed the OSHA 30-Hour training course as a prerequisite for working on the site. The "OSHA 30-Hour DOB REQUIRED Construction" sign serves as a visual reminder to workers and visitors that this training is mandatory on the site.
The sign typically features the text "OSHA 30-Hour DOB REQUIRED Construction" or a similar message, along with any relevant symbols or icons that represent construction safety. It is usually displayed prominently at the entrance or in a visible location on the construction site to ensure that individuals are aware of the training requirement.
The purpose of this sign is to promote safety and compliance with OSHA regulations and local building codes. It helps ensure that workers on the construction site have received the necessary training to mitigate risks, reduce accidents, and create a safer work environment.
It's important to note that specific requirements for construction site signage, including OSHA training requirements, may vary based on local regulations and the nature of the construction project. Therefore, it is crucial to consult the applicable regulatory authorities and construction site guidelines to ensure compliance and proper installation of the sign.
Local Law 196 of 2017 requires workers at job sites that must designate a
Construction Superintendent, Site Safety Coordinator or Site Safety Manager to
receive 30 hours of site safety training by December 1, 2019 and an additional
10 hours of training by September 1, 2020. Supervisors will need 62 hours of
training by the December 1, 2019 deadline.
