Owners of apartment buildings (three or more apartments) are required to prepare and distribute a Building Information Sheet to all residents and building staff. Owners can use this fillable building information form. For more information, go to FDNY’s Rules webpage.New York City building owners must post the Building Information Form in the lobby or mailbox area.
Each tenant must receive a form that contains information about the building’s construction date, type of construction, number of floors; sprinkler system, fire alarms, etc mail it and post one in the lobby.
